IC 3.6.1 Release Notes

This release introduces significant improvements to migration reliability, link handling, folder management, content editing, and SharePoint file linking. It also includes enhancements to the App Feed widget, image management capabilities, and numerous fixes across navigation, layouts, employee directory, credentials, App Builder, and overall platform stability.

Highlights:

Link Migration Improvements

Migration from IC2 to IC3 is now more reliable than ever.

IC3 can now better identify links migrated from IC2, map them to the correct IC3 destination, and automatically rewrite them during migration. This applies to content, menus, widgets, and internal links.

These improvements help reduce broken links after migration and minimize the amount of manual cleanup required following an upgrade.

Folder Management

Folder management has been enhanced throughout IC3, making it easier to organize and maintain content.

Users can now:

  • Access folder management from clearer entry points
  • Move folders between locations
  • Bulk select and delete folders

Additional fixes improve folder count accuracy and resolve duplicate folder and document entries that could appear in the interface.

App Feed Widget

The App Feed widget now supports displaying folders, providing more flexibility when organizing and presenting content on pages.

Migration support has also been improved so App Feed widgets correctly connect to Graphic App content after migration.

SharePoint File Links

SharePoint file linking has been improved to provide a more reliable user experience.

When opening SharePoint-linked files from IC3, users are now redirected more consistently to the correct destination file.

Content Editor Update

The previous HTML editor has been replaced with Froala.

This modern editor provides a stronger foundation for creating and maintaining rich text content while delivering a more consistent editing experience across IC3.

Image Cropper

Image cropping capabilities have been added for Storyboard images, logos, and favicon uploads.

This gives users greater control over how uploaded images are displayed throughout the platform.

Navigation & Links

  • Global Navigation items now support descriptions.
  • Internal bookmark links are now correctly saved as internal links.
  • Widget link handling has been updated with improved link ID and shortcode support.
  • Shortcode generation has been standardized for more consistent link management.
  • Migration-related link issues can now be surfaced more clearly within the user interface.

Folders & Documents

  • Folder management now has clearer navigation and access points.
  • Folders can be moved between locations.
  • Bulk folder selection and deletion are now supported.
  • Folder counts display more accurately.
  • Duplicate folder and document entries have been resolved.
  • Documents migrated from IC2 now retain their native Documents & Policies app type.

App Feed

  • App Feed widgets can now display folders.
  • Graphic App connections are preserved more reliably after migration.
  • App list query handling has been improved for greater reliability.

Employee Directory & User Sync

  • Azure user imports now retrieve all groups more reliably.
  • Employee Directory now displays the correct display name after LDAP synchronization.

Credentials

  • The Create Credential workflow has been streamlined with clearer button text.
  • Email fields are now disabled when appropriate.
  • A confirmation message is displayed after successful saves.
  • Updating credentials now correctly modifies existing records instead of creating duplicates.

Search & Performance

  • Search indexing has been optimized behind the scenes to improve indexing reliability and performance.

 

Bug Fixes

Migration

  • Fixed an issue where migration could fail due to invalid date values.
  • Fixed data truncation issues caused by IC2 values exceeding IC3 field limits.
  • Fixed App Feed widgets not connecting correctly to Graphic App content after migration.
  • Fixed Documents apps migrating as App Builder apps instead of retaining the Documents & Policies app type.
  • Added post-migration validation to help verify migrated content and links.
  • Improved visibility of migration errors within the user interface.

Navigation & Layouts

  • Fixed an issue where the 2:1:1 page layout could change to 1:2:1 after publishing.
  • Fixed an issue where opening a link attachment could unexpectedly open related content.
  • Fixed internal bookmark links being saved as external links.

App Builder

  • Fixed an issue preventing tag creation when attachments were present.
  • Fixed missing item pagination within App Builder.

Folders & Documents

  • Fixed duplicate items appearing within folder and document views.
  • Fixed inaccurate folder counts.

Storyboard

  • Resolved a Storyboard issue identified during quality assurance testing.

Login & Access

  • Fixed a login issue affecting environments where SQL users had restricted access permissions.

Customer Insight

  • Fixed an issue preventing new transmissions from IC2 from being captured correctly.
