IC 3.7.5 Release Notes
This release brings a strong mix of performance improvements, new functionality, and customer-requested fixes across IC 3.0. Highlights include larger file uploads, a faster and more flexible Form Designer, improved search and Events Calendar functionality, new workflow options, and continued enhancements to IC 2.0 migration.
Large File Uploads
You can now upload larger files. The maximum upload size is configurable, from 30 MB up to 500 MB, and uploads now stream to the server instead of loading entirely into memory first, so large files upload more reliably.
Form Designer
The form designer is noticeably faster and more responsive, especially on larger and more complex forms.
You can now copy, cut, and paste individual fields in the designer, not just whole rows. Copy or cut any field, then paste it into an empty slot, swap it onto another field (for a cut), or paste at the end of a page or table to append it as a new row or column. A field waiting to be moved stays faded until you finish the paste or press Escape.
When a workflow step lets the person submitting a form pick their own approver, you can now optionally restrict that choice to members of a specific group, instead of choosing from everyone.
Also fixed: the designer canvas no longer keeps auto-scrolling after you finish dragging a field into place. Deleting a field that a formula still depends on no longer breaks the designer. Checkbox fields can now be used as an input to a formula field, alongside dropdown and radio-button fields. A formula that references a summarized value from a table column (sum, average, count) now calculates correctly. Editing an Instruction field's content is more reliable. Saving a form with no description no longer causes errors later when viewing or editing its responses.
App Feed and Discussion Board Migration
Discussion board topics can now be migrated from IC2 into App Feed, along with their replies, which come across as threaded comments the same way migrated blog comments do. Reply threads keep their structure even across the long histories some discussion boards have built up.
Also fixed: the App Feed widget's + folder picker now only lists the folders a widget is actually scoped to show, in a consistent order, instead of listing every folder in the app. Clicking an attachment chip now opens it in the appropriate viewer first (PDF viewer, image preview, or the source), the same as attachments elsewhere in the app, instead of immediately force-downloading the raw file.
Employee Directory
- Fixed an issue where the Celebration widget showed a work anniversary one year too high once the anniversary had already passed for the year.
- Fixed an issue where editing an employee from the Users list could redirect you to a different person's profile than the one you selected.
Search
General search results (when you search without filtering by type, app, or site) now show Employee records at the top of the list, since people are one of the most common things to search for.
Also fixed: a background indexing error that could prevent forms from being indexed at all. Search results pages now work correctly. Previously, only the first page of results was reachable even when more existed. Search no longer shows an error for a result whose item has since been deleted. The AI answer card no longer causes the rest of the results to jump down the page when it turns out there's no answer.
Events Calendar
Recurring events are more reliable. Monthly and yearly recurring events no longer drift off their original day over time, and opening a recurring event's details no longer shows the popup more than once per occurrence.
The Promote option in event settings now actually works. Previously it did nothing whether turned on or off; promoting an event now correctly adds it to the Storyboard and the What's New widget, and no longer fails with an error in the process.
Also fixed: exporting a recurring event series to a calendar file (.ics) now gives each occurrence its own entry, so importing into Outlook or Google Calendar brings in the whole series instead of just one occurrence.
Fixes and Improvements
Fixed an issue where user photos could render in inconsistent shapes - circle, rounded square, square, or oval - depending on the screen and the uploaded image. Photos now render consistently as circles.
Fixed an issue where duplicating a form didn't carry over all of its fields correctly.
Fixed an issue where folder structure could be lost when remigrating content from IC2, if a folder had been moved to a different location after it was created.
Fixed several additional issues with form responses: opening a form you don't have permission to access now shows a clear message instead of an error; searching a form's own responses by a specific word now returns just the matching response instead of unrelated ones too, and exported CSVs now include each response's reference number; and errors that could occur when submitting a draft form or approving a pending workflow step have been fixed.
