IC 3.5.1 Release Notes

This release 3.5.1 introduces new visual customization options for your intranet homepage, along with improvements to widget behavior, navigation consistency, and data handling across the platform. It also includes a range of fixes to improve stability, accuracy, and overall user experience.

Highlights 

Hero Banner 

You can now upload hero banner images directly to your intranet homepage. Separate images can be used for desktop and mobile devices, ensuring the banner displays correctly across screen sizes. 

Images can be uploaded, previewed, and published directly from the page editor. 

 

Page Background 

You can now customize the page background using either a solid color or a full-page image. 

Choose a color using the built-in picker or hex input, or upload an image to create a fully branded experience. Changes can be previewed before publishing. 

 

Other Improvements 

Theme Builder 

  • Improved stability when the Theme Builder panel is open. Page buttons no longer interfere with editing in Safari and other browsers.  
  • Added an “Unsaved Changes” prompt when navigating away with unpublished edits, allowing users to apply or discard changes.  

App Feed 

  • Fixed an issue where app feed selections made through the sitemap could revert unexpectedly.  
  • Improved consistency when selecting and saving content sources.  

 

Bug Fixes 

Privacy 

  • Birth year is no longer displayed on employee profile and information pages. Only month and day are shown.  

Widgets 

  • Fixed the Quick Poll widget showing incorrect “days remaining” values.  
  • Expired Quick Poll widgets now adjust layout automatically instead of leaving empty space.  
  • The Anniversary widget no longer includes employees hired in the current year.  
  • The Upcoming Events widget now displays correctly in 1:2:1 page layouts.  

Navigation & Pages 

  • Super Admins can now add sub-content and sub-widget pages.  
  • Internal bookmarks now open in the same tab as expected.  
  • Sitemap links now display correctly when adding stories.  

Sorting & Dates 

  • Date sorting now works correctly in Governance Center, Quick Poll Archive, and Story Archive.  
  • Date formats are now consistent across archive pages.  
  • Governance Center now defaults to sorting by Due Date.  

Content & Media 

  • YouTube video thumbnails now display correctly on Storyboard posts.  
  • Fixed an issue where a white background could appear behind text elements.  

Search 

  • Files uploaded through App Builder now appear in search results when searching by title.  

Editing & Dialogs 

  • The asset edit dialog now resizes correctly to fit content.  
  • Improved alignment in Read & Confirm and Review popups.  
  • Site creation now shows a proper validation message when the title is missing.  

Migration 

  • Widget pages with unsupported or no widgets now migrate correctly, preserving title, description, and icon.
